The Best Chair Is The One That Makes You RISE!

I just heard the best tip from Posture Coach (@postureellie). I am new to her page and really love her content. Today she posted something that got me thinking and I wanted to share how it may be useful to our community.

First, I LOVE my comfy office chair and the thought of sitting on an uncomfortable stool (as Ellie suggested) makes me cringe a bit. However, her reasoning was sound, we sit TOO MUCH, it’s killing not only our posture but our bodies. Have you heard “sitting is the new smoking”? It’s true that statistics are telling us that we need to get up and get moving. So, in her wisdom as a coach she is saying, make it uncomfortable and you’ll have to get up frequently.

In business, this is also very true. Comfort is the enemy of progress!

So, let’s apply this wisdom to our businesses. Maybe it’s time to trade in that cozy, familiar routine for something that makes you squirm a little. Don’t be afraid to start those uncomfortable conversations about changing your business model, launching a new offer, or even releasing a partnership that’s run its course.

Remember, discomfort breeds movement, and movement sparks growth. Whether it’s adjusting your seat or adjusting your business strategy, the principle remains the same: GET UP often. It’s not just about physical health; it’s about keeping your business vibrant and adaptable.

There are so many possibilities waiting for you beyond your comfort zone. Take chances, make bold moves, and don’t be afraid to ruffle a few feathers. Your business, like your body, craves that regular stretch and challenge.

So, here’s your call to action: Identify one “comfortable chair” in your business and commit to replacing it with an “uncomfortable stool.” It could be reaching out to that potential partner you’ve been hesitant about, or finally launching that daring new product idea.

Remember, a healthy body and a thriving business both require the same thing: the courage to get up, shake things up, and embrace the uncomfortable. Your future success is standing up, stretching its legs, and waiting for you to join it.

Are you ready to stand up and step into your next level of success? The discomfort of change today leads to the comfort of achievement tomorrow. Let’s get moving!
